Today I decided to complete a card for the Color Me Creative challenge and we are to use lots of navy blue. I have used this cup of pansies for many cards so thought it might fit perfectly when I colored it up in blues.
Wishing everyone a nice weekend!

Impression Obsession Fly Away Challenge
I am on a roll here...two posts in one day! The second card which I am sharing with you is for the Impression Obsession challenge. The only criteria is that something with wings must be included. I chose a set which I loved when I bought it, but have never inked it up (and I won't tell how long ago that may have been!). It is a set by Alesa Baker called Butterflies (3031-LG). I applied Distress Inks ( to my cardstock before stamping the images with Memento Tuxedo Black. I then colored the butterflies with Copic markers.....RV19, 17, 02 and BG 15, 01, 000. Adding color to images with a base of Distress Ink is a fun, easy way to add color and a technique I have just recently tried and gotten hooked on. The sentiment is also from IO (CL 43 Anytime Sentiments).
Impression Obsession is holding an awesome blog hop this week with the sneak peak of the new stamps being released in connection with CHA. So, hope on over there for some really amazing cards by the design team.
Thanks again for stopping by.

Wednesday Sketch Challenge - July 18
The new Sketch Challenge over at The Outlawz started yesterday and here is the sketch for it:
The DT has whipped up some awesome inspiration cards for you to enjoy. Please, remember the sketch is for inspiration and you may rotate or flip the elements as long as we can tell how the sketch inspired your creation. Come on over and play along with us!
My card is below and I have used a digi image called Ballet Rosie from Digi Stamp Boutique, which I colored with copics on Cryogen paper. After cutting my image out, I sponged with both chalks and Distress Inks. The pink paper was from my stash and the striped background paper is Basic Grey Euphoria. The label is a Spellbinders Shapeabilities die called Fancy Tags. Could not resist making the computer generated sentiment to go along with this cutie. The card is going to my five-year old granddaughter, Ainsley, who has been enjoying ballet lessons.
Thanks for stopping by.

Wednesday Sketch Challenge- July 11
The image below is for the Wednesday Sketch Challenge at the Outlawz.
As always, it is for inspiration only and you may rotate or flip it as long as we can see that your inspiration came from the sketch. Come on over and play along with us as we always have amazing creations to feast your eyes on.
Here is my card for the challenge. The stamp is by Hero Arts and since I am feeling a void in my die cut collection for anything like the sketch, I "fussy cut" from an old Fiskars template to achieve some scallops.
Thanks for stopping by and I so appreciate all of the lovely comments which you have left for me.

IO Die Challenge
The current Impression Obsession Challenge is to create a card using a die cut and Impression Obsession stamps. I thought that I had one die from IO, but if I have it, I can't find it. I used a Nestability (Labels Two) die and sponged some Distress Ink around the Alesa Baker Daisy Love image after I stamped it with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Cryogen cardstock. This flower is one of my recent favorites and I find myself reaching for it frequently. It seems all-purpose and works for birthdays, thank yous, and thinking of you cards as well as being adaptable for both feminine and masculine occasions. The sentiment is also from Impression Obsession...CL43 Anytime Sentiments.
